Special Stain Components 

Used as a counterstain in many special stains such as Iron, Reticulum, Fontana Masson, and Alcian Blue stains. Available for purchase in 4 oz or 8 oz bottles.

Crystal Violet Amyloid Stain. Stains for Amyloid, purple to violet.

Gold Chloride 0.1% is used as toner by replacing some of the bound silver with gold. Can be used with Grocott's Method for Fungi (GMS). Available for purchase in 8 oz and 16 oz bottles.

Diastase is used to determine if glycogen is present in tissue sections. 8 oz contains (3) 0.1 g powders and (3) 100 mL buffers. 16 oz contains (5) 0.1 g powders and (5) 100 mL buffers.
