Neutral Buffered Formalin with 10% Alcohol. Special alcoholic formalin blend is an ideal year-round fixative but is especially suitable for laboratories in colder climates. The addition of 10% alcohol makes the solution more resistant to freezing temperatures during transport. Prefills are filled 50% with fixative, 7mL prefills are filled with 5mL of fixative. No refrigeration needed, but ideally will be a controlled temperature space to prevent extreme heat.
