Ergonomic innovation: Transforming gallon bottle handling in the lab.
We've all been there - grabbing a 2 liter of soda, twisting the cap, and suddenly the weak plastic caves in, sending soda everywhere. Or maybe the bottle’s awkward shape and slippery surface makes it difficult to hold on to. And don't even get us started on the narrow neck that causes all that glugging and spilling.
the lab. Refilling your H&E stain line with alcohol or xylene might seem like a routine task but often comes with the same hassles. Struggling to pull a gallon container from an overcrowded flammable cabinet, dealing with the awkward handle placement, and trying to avoid overfilling, glugging, or splashing can all be frustrating. And when those splashes land near your face or on your shoes, it’s not just a mess – it’s a safety concern. These added risks shouldn’t be part of your workflow.
Picture a gallon container designed for real-world lab tasks: an ergonomic double-handle design - one on the top and another on the side, allowing for secure, two-handed lifting and easy access from tight spots. Pouring becomes easier, more precise, and safer. And the best part? No more glugging! Meet the new StatGrip gallon bottle with HistoFlow™ dispensing technology, a patented design with a unique air channel to ensure smooth, consistent pouring, eliminating splashing and glugging. Its dual-handle design ensures a steady, controlled pour every time.

- Adjust the bottle’s position: Elevate or lower to waist height to avoid excessive bending or reaching and tilt towards the edge of the surface so you can lift with less force.
- Use a two-handed grip: Grip the handle with one hand and use the other hand to support the base or side of the bottle. This will balance the weight between both hands, allowing more control when pouring.
- Pour slowly and steadily: Pour at an angle to prevent glugging from air rushing into the bottle. If you are using a traditional F-style bottle with only one handle on the top, turn the bottle on its side for easier control and support.
- Use a funnel: Reduce the risk of spills by using a funnel to direct the solution into the container.
