Description
This stain is intended for use by laboratory professionals to stain routinely prepared paraffin embedded tissue specimens (in vitro) to identify Acid Fast Bacteria (mycobacteria), including Mycobacterium tuberculosis and Mycobacterium avium intracellulare. All Acid Fast Bacteria stain bright red and other tissue green or blue (depending on what counterstain is chosen). Compared to the Carbol Fuchsin solution used in Kinyoun’s AFB and Ziehl-Neelsen procedures, MasterTech Advanced Carbol Fuchsin™ requires no heat and has a much shorter staining time by combining all three fuchsin dyes.

No refrigeration needed, but ideally will be a controlled temperature space to prevent extreme heat.
