Laboratory grade xylene. Purified and filtered to deliver a high quality, consistent product. Xylene is the most commonly used clearing agent for tissue processing and staining in Histology and Cytology laboratories. Applications include tissue processing, deparaffinization, and clearing in staining applications. Free of impurities and water and compatible with most mounting mediums. No refrigeration needed, but ideally will be a controlled temperature space to prevent extreme heat.
