Stains for gram positive and gram negative bacteria in just under 20 minutes.This kit is suitable in lieu of and comparable to various Brown-Hopps staining procedures. Basic Fuchsin and Crystal Violet both serve as primary stains, producing blue stained gram positive bacteria, along with red gram negative bacteria and nuclei, while the Picric Acid/Acetone provides a yellow counterstain.
- 100ml Stain Kit yields between 36 and 45 slides.
- Pint Stain Kit yields between 144-225 slides.
Slide Yields assume maximum slides stained per run, maximum runs per use. Actual Slide Yields may vary.
100ml Kit Consists of: 1% Crystal Violet 100ml, Universal Iodine Solution 100ml, 0.1% Basic Fuchsin 100ml, Gallego's Solution 100ml and Picric Acid/Acetone 100ml.
Pint Kit Consists of: 1% Crystal Violet Pint, Universal Iodine Solution Pint, 0.1% Basic Fuchsin Pint, Gallego's Solution Pint and Picric Acid/Acetone Pint.
All kit components are available for purchase individually. Both kits are sealed with a tamper-evident label for quality assurance. All kit components should be stored in a dry environment between 15ƒš‚º C and 30ƒš‚º C. Please review all component labels to ensure correct storage temperature.
