Description
Michels Solution is used to preserve and transport specimens for examination in immunofluorescence studies. While not a fixative, specimens can be held at room temperature for five days in transport medium before processing. This simple salt solution maintains pH, but does not kill most pathogens. Specimens received in transport medium should be washed in three changes of Michels Wash Solution (10 minutes for each wash). Not suitable for FISH studies. Prefills are filled 50%, 7mL prefills filled 5mL. Prefill Size: Width x Height 7mL: 21mm x 54mm 20mL: 38mm x 43 mm

Store at room temperature at 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F)
No refrigeration needed, but ideally will be a controlled temperature space to prevent extreme heat.
