Description
Stains for argentaffin cells, granules, carcinoid tumors, and melanin in 60 minutes.Argentaffin cells possess the ability to bind and reduce silver to a visible metal without requiring a reducing agent, allowing this stain to be performed with fewer steps than other silver stains. An Ammoniacal Silver Developer Solution serves as the primary stain, producing brown to black melanin granules against a pink to red background counterstained by Nuclear Fast Red. There is no filtration required when using MasterTech Nuclear Fast Red.

100ml Kit Consists of: Type 1 Silver Solution 5 vials, 0.1% Gold Chloride 100ml, 5% Sodium Thiosulfate 100ml and Nuclear Fast Red Stain 100ml.
Pint Kit Consists of: Type 1 Silver Solution 20 vials, 0.1% Gold Chloride Pint, 5% Sodium Thiosulfate Pint and Nuclear Fast Red Stain Pint.
Liter Kit Consists of: Type 1 Silver Solution 40 vials, 0.1% Gold Chloride Liter, 5% Sodium Thiosulfate Liter and Nuclear Fast Red Stain Liter.
All kit components are available for purchase individually. Both kits are sealed with a tamper-evident label for quality assurance.
