Description
Stains for deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) in 35 minutes. Also known as the Feulgen Reaction, hydrochloric acid removes the purine bases from the DNA, leaving the sugars and phosphates. This creates an aldehyde group that can be demonstrated by the Optimized Schiff’s Solution. The MasterTech Feulgen Stain kit is up to two times faster than similar procedures, sometimes requiring 60 minutes alone in the Schiff’s. Optimized Schiff’s Solution serves as the primary stain, producing red to purple stained DNA against a light green background counterstained by Fast Green.

All kit components are available for purchase individually. Kits are sealed with a tamper-evident label for quality assurance. All kit components should be stored in a dry environment between 15º C and 30º C. Please review all component labels to ensure correct storage temperature.
