Description
CytoStat™ Red Collection Fluid is an alcohol-based general purpose fixative solution. CytoStat™ Red is used for diagnostic non-gynecological cytology specimens, which include, but are not limited to, sputum, washings, body fluids, scrapings, and fine needle aspiration biopsies. This fixative lyses red blood cells and solubilizes proteins while preserving the diagnostically relevant cells. Available in our 1-gallon StatGrip® rectangular F-style bottles featuring HistoFlow® dispensing technology—designed for easy pouring, improved ergonomics, and smarter storage.

Store at room temperature at 15°C to 30°C (59°F to 86°F)
No refrigeration needed, but ideally will be a controlled temperature space to prevent extreme heat.
