Description

Stains for amyloid deposits in just over 60 minutes.This kit is suitable in lieu of and comparable to the alkaline congo red method, commonly used to stain for primary, secondary, myeloma-associated, or tumor-associated amyloidosis. The MasterTech Congo Red Amyloid Kit requries no working solution preparation, making it faster and more convenient than similar kits or procedures. Congo Red Amyloid Stain serves as the primary stain, producing pink to red amyloid deposits with blue nuclei counterstained by Hematoxylin.

  • 100ml Stain Kit yields between 320 and 500 slides.
  • Pint Stain Kit yields between 680-1000 slides.
  • Liter kit yields between 1500-2000 slides.

Slide Yields assume maximum slides stained per run, maximum runs per use. Actual Slide Yields may vary.

100ml Kit Consists of: Congo Red Stain 100ml, Modified Mayer's Hematoxylin 100ml and 1% Sodium Hydroxide pint.

Pint Kit Consists of: Congo Red Stain pint, Modified Mayer's Hematoxylin pint, and 1% Sodium Hydroxide 2 pints.

Liter Kit Consists of: Congo Red Stain liter, Modified Mayer's Hematoxylin liter, and 1% Sodium Hydroxide 2 liters.

All kit components are available for purchase individually. Both kits are sealed with a tamper-evident label for quality assurance. All kit components should be stored in a dry environment between 15‚º C and 30‚º C. Please review all component labels to ensure correct storage temperature
