Rabbit Monoclonal, RTU. Intended for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use. SOX-10 is a transcription factor involved in neural crest and peripheral nervous system development and acts as a nucleocytoplasmic shuttle protein. Following migration, it remains expressed in cells destined for glial, schwannian, and melanocytic differentiation. SOX-10 is widely expressed in normal human tissues, including melanocytes and breast tissue. It is also an important marker in malignant tumors such as melanomas and breast carcinomas of basal-like and triple negative type, gliomas, and benign tumors such as schwannomas. References 1.
