Mouse Monoclonal. Intended for in vitro diagnostic (IVD) use. AFP is a single chain glycoprotein that is normally expressed in fetal liver, gastrointestinal tract, and yolk sac. Expression has been demonstrated in hepatocellular carcinomas, gonadal and extragonadal germ cell tumors, and yolk sac tumors. Use of this antibody can also aid in the classification of neoplastic liver disease and mixed germ cell tumors.
